Physiotherapy for Children

Paediatric physiotherapy can improve motor skills, enhance school readiness, and increase independence for children with disabilities, movement concerns and development delays. 

 

We offer flexible Physiotherapy services including NDIS reporting, functional assessments, early intervention programs, and school readiness assessments. Our holistic approach covers:

 

  • Paediatric Physiotherapy Assessment

  • Formalised and standardised paediatric Neuro-Sensory-Motor-Developmental-Assessment (NSMDA) 

Standardised assessments to identify and address developmental delays, providing a foundation for tailored therapeutic interventions. 

 

  • Formalised and standardised Developmental Coordination Disorder Assessment (Movement ABC): 

Specialised assessments for diagnosing developmental coordination disorder (formerly known as Dyspraxia), facilitating targeted therapy plans that are widely accepted by NDIS. 

 

  • NDIS Assessment and Review Report:  

Professional and thorough reports that meet NDIS requirements, ensuring continued funding and support.

This may include challenges with: PADLS/Personal care, ADLS, such as eating. 

 

  • Hydrotherapy for Children 

Water-based therapy sessions designed to improve physical function and reduce discomfort in a fun and supportive environment 

 

  • School Readiness Program 

Preparing children for school by developing essential physical and motor skills, fostering independence and confidence.

  •  Tailored group programs for social and behavioural skills.  

We look at modification of activities, strengthening activities, movement facilitation, and everyone’s favourite play-based tasks. 

 

  • Assistive Technology/Equipment Assessment and Prescription 

Professional evaluation and recommendation of assistive devices like walkers, wheelchairs, and adaptive aids to enhance mobility and daily functioning.
